I had an awesome experience this morning...Katie got up early..at the same time I get up for my quiet time..I took the opportunity and invited her too..she sat on one couch and read her Bible, while I sat on the other and read mine.
It was such a precious moment for me...then we read through putting on the armor of God together...then we were ready to face the day!!
Thank you Lord for such a precious daughter!!

Well, I went to a women's retreat this weekend with 7 women from church. I survived!! I was really worried...anytime you get that many women in two rooms...something is going to go wrong. The last retreat I went to was about 11 years ago...I was fairly new to the church I had gone with that time and late at night another room of girls came into ours...before I knew it...crying, feelings hurt, more crying...crazy....so I thought of course this time that that would happen....IT DIDN'T!!!!!!!
I am so excited...I have finally become old enough to be with other adult women without a cat fight :).
Anyway, the retreat was great...I learned a lot about other women and their struggles, struggles with parenting, how to deal with the "respectable sins", how to not be a worn out leader, and how to face the day before the "battle" begins.
All of the things I have learned from them, I am trying to instill in my own life.
I am still a work in progress..and boy is there a lot of work to be done :).
I now write a Bible verse on our bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker and change it periodically...my 8 year old loves it!!
I love that she is excited to learn about God's word...I pray that she can see in me God's love...even though mommy love comes out strong sometimes.
